I am so happy I was able to know John when I worked with him at GAF. He was always smiling and friendly to everyone. Whenever he came back to visit, people would gather to say hello and share their stories with him.
My sincere condolences and sympathy to Brenda and the Curtis family. John will be missed by all who knew him.
With love and prayers.

Dear Brenda & Family,
To be who you are, without adornment or apology and to let it stand without ammendment--- that is living. That was Jack.
I enjoyed so much being with him, his laugh and compassion and optimistic view of the world; be it a football game, a Final Four, a Frank Sinatra concert. His love of family and friends and kindness will be his lasting memory...that quiet makes a place for beauty and gentlesness for truth. That emotion is quick, but wisom is deliberate.
Enjoy your reward Jack. You mattered so.

Dear Brenda,Linda,Jay
Our deepest sympathy to the Curtis family. I also have fond memories of coaching our sons at St.Vladimir's
along with Joe Godrey. Not only was Jack very knowledgeable in sports, but his coaching skills made it
very enjoyable to all the children that he coached.
Sincerely
Jack & Dotty LaBrutto

We have many incredible memories of our time with Jack, but some of our favorites were on vacations. One of our more memorable trips was to Ireland with Jack, Brenda and our three sons. The entire tour was amazing. One day we were traveling on the bus when Jack went to the front of the bus and proceeded to get everyone to sing New York New York. It was classic Jack. He was always smiling and making sure everyone else was too. We will always treasure all our memories of Jack. Rest in peace dear friend.
Love,
John & Diane Rebele

We are so very sad that we lost our friend so soon. It was a real privilege to have known Jack & to have called him our friend. He was always welcoming & generous & funny & ready for anything. It was abundantly clear that he loved life & greatly loved & cherished his family. He had a strong sense of what was right & fair & stood up for what he believed even if it was unpopular. The highlight of our Summers at the Jersey shore was the times we spent with Brenda & Jack. We will greatly miss him.
Love to you Brenda. Marilyn & Keith

I have so many fond memories I worked for John from 1988 till he retired. I remember he gave me a chance to work in AP for him and I hope he thought he made the right decision to hire me. I think of him often and always had hope to see him in LBI by some chance .
My deepest sympathies to the whole family he will surely be missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of John Curtis. John hired me to work at GAF in 1997. I had initially turned down the position but John insisted that he thought I would be a great fit into the department. So after some persuasion I agreed, and he was right. I had a wonderful time working there and met many of my lifetime friends. John was an excellent manager, fair-minded, pleasant and fun. He loved his family more than anything else which was obvious in our talks. He will be missed along with his wonderful smile and hardy laugh. My deepest condolences to the family.

We are all so sorry and sad to learn of Jack’s passing. Jack took me to my first Yankees game with Jay when Jay and I were in Jersey during college. That was one of many fun things we did I’ll never forget. I will miss his laugh, which was contagious and gregarious. His stories over the many NYC dinners he treated us too. He was one of the most generous, compassionate and bigger than life personality individual I have ever had the pleasure to know. God Bless Jack! Rest in Peace..Condolences to the entire Curtis Family..
