Barbara was always very dear to me. Besides being the sister of my husband, John, she was my good friend and we also both shared a love of painting. Many years ago, she painted me painting. Always loved it! She also gave me a beautiful painting of three potted plants which hangs in my apartment. I think fondly of her every time I look at it. Rest In Peace, my dear friend.

Barbara was one of the loveliest women I have ever known. My sister went to high school with Gina and my parents lived in Convent Station and knew Barbara through St Thomas More. I came to know Barbara at The Oaks. I would visit my dad (John Cannon) each week and have lunch in the Bistro with him. More often than not Barbara would join us or we would join her. She was sweet and spunky at the same time! She loved talking about her family and her art. At the end of lunch she would always take out her liitle baggie with a few chocolates in it, offer some to us and then enjoy her special treat. What a joy. I’m so lucky to have shared some time with her. May she rest in a well deserved peace. Sue (Cannon) Mannarino

Sweet Barbie,
It was truly an honor to be your nurse through the VNA. Visits with you and talks with your daughter is what makes this job rewarding. Sending love and hugs to your amazing family during this difficult time. May you rest in the sweetest peace until we meet again.

Aunt Barbara was like no other. Every year at Christmas I remember with love and emotion "Christmas Eve" at Aunt Barbara's and Uncle Vic's home. The entire family was welcomed and never failed to display the joy of the season and most of all Family. Aunt Barbara was my uncle Vic's wife and partner. Together, they made a wonderful and contrasting pair that made their family and everyone feel special. I loved "my Aunt Barbara". She and her spirit will always have a special place in my heart. What a Gal.
