My memories of Scotti date back to 1959 when I was a kid in Summit who lived for music. Tony would let me go into the listening booth for hours to listen to albums, then just buy an 89¢ 45rpm. He was always kind and supportive. I had a 55 year career in music as a keyboard player, songwriter and producer. I'll bet I wasn't the only person who received Scotti's support. I’m so sorry for the Scotti family’s profound loss. In the 1960s, Mr. Scotti personally played a significant role in supporting the burgeoning rock, soul and pop music idioms. To all Tony Scott's many friends, I want to take a moment to reflect on our lives together. Tony and I went to Morristown High School and enjoyed the company of many good friends in the graduating class of 1950. Tony was an outstanding baseball player during his time at Morristown High. We both married our high school sweethearts and enjoyed many occasions together including vacations with our children. We also saw our children become successful in business. Scotti's Record Shops were known all over Morris County. The Diassi Family will certainly miss Tony's presence. Tony, wherever you are going, please reserve a place for me because I will be following you in the near future. Frank Diassi
