Obituary of Jagpal Sharan

Jagpal Sharan, of Hillsborough, NJ, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the age of 77.

He was born in India on August 22, 1944 and lived his early life in Sambhal, UP.

Jagpal had a career of over 30 years in the development of automobile tires. He rose to become the head of technical and production functions for several companies throughout his career, such as Goodyear, Apollo and JK Tires. He lived in several parts of India with a long memorable period in Thrissur, Kerala and his friendship with Mr. C.A. Jose. After retiring from the tire industry, Jagpal started a successful disinfectant business which he operated for several years in Gwalior, India. Over the last several years he lived in the New Jersey in the United States.

Jagpal was a dedicated husband and proud father. He was especially overjoyed to become a grandfather to his two grandsons and two granddaughters. Everything Jagpal did in life was for the benefit of his family.

Jagpal is survived by his beloved wife, Arun Sharan; one son, Rudraksh “Rudy” Sharan and his wife Shilpa; one loving daughter, Shalini Bhardwaj and her husband Nitin; four cherished grandchildren, Nitisha, Rushil, Yuvika and Akshil; and many other beloved extended family members and friends in India.

He is predeceased by his parents, Brijlal and Lajwanti Verma.

We would like to thank all sides of our large loving family for your expressions of love and support during these difficult days; especially the Verma, Bhandula, Kapur, Bhardwaj, Kandhari families.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service for Jagpal on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 11:45AM to 1:30PM at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Madison Memorial Home.

While he has left us today, we know that Jagpal will continue to protect & bless us until eternity. May his soul rest in peace.
