I have known Uncle J P Sharan, as we knew him, via his son and my good friend Rudraksh (Rudy). I’ve had the pleasure of being pampered with his hospitality during my visits to their home in the suburb of Thrissur, which should have been a far cry from his own upbringing in Northern India, but still the family felt very much the part of local fabric. I found this truly remarkable and Rudy & Shalu were as much Thrissurians as we all were. Uncle and Aunty had a great network of friends there. The good human beings Rudy and Shalu are, is a reflection of the values they have been brought up with. Although I’ve not met him for over four decades, uncle and Aunty always feature heavily in my conversations with Rudy. Our heartfelt condolences to the family members of the departed soul. They are in our thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.
