Obituary of Eric S. LoBosco

Eric Steven LoBosco, of Chatham, NJ passed away peacefully at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, PA on Sunday, July 11, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family. Eric was 24 years old.

Eric was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 22, 1996, to his loving parents, Steven and Kerry and sister Tricia LoBosco. The family first lived in Franklin Lakes, NJ before settling in Chatham, NJ.

Eric was born premature due to a diaphragmatic hernia. Prior to birth he required in utero surgery. When he was around two and a half he was diagnosed with a hearing impairment and Autism. Eric never allowed his disadvantages to dim his light. He was a clever, gentle, easy going, boy who lived a full and happy life. Eric always had a smile upon his face no matter what obstacles he faced. Eric’s strength to overcome those hardships will continue to inspire us throughout our lives.

Eric graduated from The Allegro School in Cedar Knolls, NJ. Afterwards, Eric spent most of his time between the Hope Autism Solutions Day program in Basking Ridge, NJ and Camp Jotoni in Warren, NJ in the summer. Eric genuinely loved going to school, his day program, and summer camp. He thoroughly enjoyed participating in vocational activities and taking day trips.

Eric loved looking at various books, including, “Thomas the Tank Engine” and “Blues Clues”. Additionally, he enjoyed watching videos of his favorite characters on YouTube. Eric liked going to the park, pool, library, and bookstore. Eric was especially close to his parents, and often shadowed his mother around his home.

Eric was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Rose LoBosco; and his maternal grandparents, Patricia Hugo and Robert Hugo. He is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Steven and Kerry LoBosco; his sister, Tricia LoBosco; and his brother, Kyle LoBosco; and many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation from 1:00PM to 4:00PM & 6:00PM to 9:00PM on Sunday, July 18, 2021 held at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham Township, 240 Southern Boulevard, Chatham, NJ. The church kindly requests those who attend the service to wear a mask inside the building. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that charitable contributions in Eric’s memory be made to Camp Jotoni, Attn. Lisa Marie Arieno, 51 Old Stirling Road, Warren, NJ 07059. When making a donation, please indicate that it is in memory of Eric S. LoBosco.
