Almost twenty years ago I looked across the table at the orientation meeting for Allegro to see this beautiful Mom holding a brand new infant. I thought, wow, this Mom is here with her new infant for her son to start Allegro, her son diagnosed with Autism. How brave she is. How much she must love her son. Kerry and I became friends, sharing both our boys' struggles and accomplishments dealing with autism. Kerry started out dealing with so much from the time she was pregnant, having surgery to help Eric, dealing with his seizures, hearing issues and then Autism. Always researching, always making sure he had his medicine, therapy, gluten casein free diet, anything to help her little boy. Both she and Steve did everything they could to provide for Eric, to give him every opportunity to overcome obstacles and to have a wonderful and loving life. His big sister, Trisha, and his younger brother, Kyle, always loved him and included him in their lives. We could all see Eric's easy going nature, smile and spirit throughout his life. But he accomplished more than what we could see in his unwavering ability to face each day with a good attitude. He taught us what it truly means to persevere, to be strong and to be positive despite difficult challenges. We learned about the ability to find joy in simple, everyday things like Eric did in listening to his favorite show, "Blues Clues" and eating potato chips that he loved. Eric taught us to be grateful for things like the love of family and making memories together as well as enjoying all that you are able to do rather than focusing on what you are not. Eric's spirit will stay with us all and when we think about him and his life it will remind us to live our lives well as he did, to be kind and empathetic and to pursue our dreams with the same effort as he approached his life. We love you Eric and will miss you and we find some comfort in knowing that you are one of God's Angels now brought home to heaven, leaving your wonderous legacy for all of us to carry within our hearts forever.

I loved coming over the LoBosco’s home. Whether it was for the holidays or to watch a game or just to catch up, my favorite part was speaking to Eric. He was always so full of joy and passion. As a father I admired how loving Eric and Steve were towards one another. It was the most special thing for me to witness them together. The LoBosco family is very important to me and my family and if there is anything we can do for you all, we got you. We love you and we’ll never forget you Eric.

Since the day I met Eric’s sister Tricia over 15 years ago, The LoBosco’s became my second family. Sleepovers, dinners, even attending family vacations with them & as the years went on, Eric & Kyle became my siblings too.
I remember a day when we were on vacation in The Outer Banks, sitting by the pool just relaxing. Eric was his usual happy self, exploring and seeing what fun & new things he might find. He came across a table with so many snacks and lifted a pizza box up - unfortunately another pool guest was not kind to Eric. I quickly stepped right in and defended him as if he was my own family. I will never forget that day as I hugged Eric and guided him back to the love & safety of his family by our pool chairs.
If you needed a smile or a laugh, Eric was your guy. Whether he was watching his Youtube or eating his favorite snack, his bright eyes and beaming smile could light up your day. That is how I will always remember Eric, or “Enriche” as me and Tricia would so lovingly refer to him.
I offer my sincere condolences and love to the entire LoBosco family. The world is brighter because of Eric, and we will miss him so much.

I remember spending a special two days with Eric about ten years ago. I slept over the house at Candace Lane and took care of him by myself. Steve & Kerry had prepared me as best they could, but when they walked out the door I felt butterflies in my stomach. Steve and Kerry were going to a play in NYC and were sleeping at a hotel. Holy cow. I was determined not to bother them.
Eric & I watched Blue’s Clues with Steve Burns (I’ll never forget how his face was transfixed on him) and then Thomas the Tank Engine with George Carlin.
Everything was going well. After we viewed all of our entertainment for the day, it was time for Eric to eat. Kerry had all the food prepared and it went down with no problem.
Once Eric had the food and drink in him, he settled back down on the couch and eventually showed signs that he was ready for bed. I brought him up to the bedroom and he went down.
I was nervous all night but he slept through.
The next day, I gave him breakfast and prepared him for the school bus. As he turned and walked toward the bus, guided by the driver, I got a sense of the kind of relationship Steve & Kerry had with him. You do for your children, for all of your loved ones. You never ask for anything—- no acknowledgement needed. What you get back in spades are the loving eyes from someone who needs you. Someone who loves you unconditionally. That is a great thing!

Dear Steve, Kerry, Tricia and Kyle,
Eric was a joy of a nephew. He was so sweet and always had a smile on his face. He is with the Angels in Heaven smiling down on us. His presence will always be felt by all of us who loved him. God Bless him . We will miss him terribly but speak about him often.
