I began as a patient of Dr. Martin's in 1987 when I was 24. I had never been adjusted and was scared to let him go forward. Finally, he just reached over and adjusted my neck--the first of countless occasions where he helped me noticeably and immediately.
What strikes me the most upon looking back is how that office hummed with activity and healing energy for years. Originally, Sue and Jean were both at the desk, the waiting room was full, and Dr. Martin greeted every patient with a big smile and hello--every single time for years and years. He was upbeat, encouraging, and hopeful to everyone! Somehow he maintained that attitude regardless of what was going on for him. I made a point of telling him that he was a genuine healer. At times, I even shared the difficulties from my personal life with him.
I was delighted when Dr. Martin called me last March during the pandemic. Of course, we caught each other up on the events of the last several years. He was the same engaged, curious, and loving man as always, and I was thrilled that he had thought to be in touch with me. He was a key figure in my life and made a huge difference to me. I can feel his passing in my heart.

I could use my 500 characters to write about a single memory, but I will take this opportunity, to ask you to reflect on all of the good memories that you shared with Jim and Barbara.

I v
I memory of my very dear friend,,
I have very deep gratitude for the times he and I just sat outside in the slender and warmth of the sun. Jim did indeed love his sun as I sat there under the shade of the umbrella, watching him saturate himself in lotion.
Fortunately we sat close enough so I could sit there an just let Jim unveil some of his most memorable memories . A true treat indeed, as he carried me back in time to the days that once were. I could almost see and feel him illuminate as he tip toed back in time.
So effective with his story telling was he, they, even to this day, are still strong in my mind and heart.
I so miss those times spent with my Buddy, my Friend.
He was a warm hearted compassionate human being who had a heart of gold, not only for his family but for everyone who ventured along his path in life.
A person is never gone until they are forgotten, and Jim in my heart, will never be forgotten ♥
With love, your forever Friend,
Rich P.

We got to know Jim over the last 6 years when he lived in Morristown. Always the first to greet us with a hug and some quick wit. We wish we had known him longer but were blessed for the time we did. Love was always flowing from his heart, even through his health struggles. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.
