Dear Angie, Sofia and Andrew,
I am very saddened to learn of the passing of Orsola. I am in personal awe of her story on this earth, having immigrated to this country alone, worked diligently to buy a house and raise a family, and contributed greatly to society.
My family members and I always thought it was a special gift to suddenly find her walking along the side of the road, pick her up, and transport her to her destination. We kept tallies on the number of times we picked her up and would proudly announce at the dinner table when one of us had happened to give her a ride that day. I am sure residents of the town of Madison thoroughly enjoyed being her personal chauffeurs!
I have very fond memories of the many gatherings we shared together and was somehow always able to communicate and laugh with her even though we spoke different languages.
She was a remarkable women and will be greatly missed!
I send you my sincerest condolences.
Craig
