I 1st met Chris back in 1996 when I was 20 yrs old. I had just been hired to work in Neiman Marcus customer service. From day 1 Chris welcomed & mentored me. He was very open & friendly & I came to look at him as family. He called me Muffin Man (inside joke) & I called him old man & gramps. He took me to Marco Polo for my 1st taste of calamari & The Captains Galley for my 1st martini. I could speak with him about anything & when it came time to move on he assisted me with getting into banking. My condolences to his lovely family which I had the pleasure of meeting a few times. He will be missed.

Christopher’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". Thank you Chris for being my Main Street compadre for the better part of a decade.. You were a perfect blend of sweet and sour, of philosophy, humor and contempt. I will miss your AC DC lyrics, your stories about work, your mastery of sarcasm and curmudgeonry and your relentless pursuit to dismiss my Chicago teams.. Somehow we got along just fine! And thanks to Leslie for taking such good and selfless care of Chris in his time of need.. Jon
