Obituary of Lee Talento
Lee David Scott Talento, of Convent Station, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was 64 years old.
Lee was born in Hollywood, CA on March 25, 1953 and grew up in Santa Fe, NM. Lee eventually moved to Brea, CA where he met his beloved wife, Althea Talento (nee Vazquez). The couple moved to New York City before settling in Convent Station 30 years ago.
Lee earned his bachelor’s degree from California State University, Fullerton. He had a long career as a financial manager with Bear Stearns in New York City. Lee transitioned to JP Morgan several years ago, before retiring in 2015. In his retirement, which he was thoroughly enjoying, Lee enjoyed gardening at his home and day trading. He was known for his big heart. He enjoyed adopting unfortunate, needy animals, and had three dogs and several parrots.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Tony Talento, and his brother Bruce Talento. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Althea Talento (nee Vazquez) of Convent Station; his dear mother, Barbara Talento (nee Braustein) of Brea, CA; one daughter, Donna DiMeo Sorce of Mailbu, CA, and husband, Tom; three sons, Joseph DiMeo of Huntington Beach, CA, and fiancée, Amanda, Derek DiMeo of Wilmington, DE, and wife, Beth, and Daryl DiMeo of Budd Lake; one sister, Sandra Talento Mise of Spokane, WA, and husband, Bill; and eight cherished grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison with funeral services beginning at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be held from 4PM to 8PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
