Obituary of Michael Rosenberg
Michael Rosenberg, a longtime Millburn resident, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was 83.
Michael was born in New York City on July 27, 1941, to the late Max and Lila Rosenberg. He grew up in Great Neck, NY on Long Island with his siblings and obtained his bachelor’s degree from RIT in Rochester. While in college, Michael met his future wife, Linda, on a blind date and the couple married on June 7, 1964. In 1982, the family settled in Millburn where they have lived since.
Michael had a long career in advertising with Bel-Aire Associates in Manhattan and always kept his Jewish faith by going to temple. He was passionate about building American Flyer model trains and was a dedicated Little League baseball umpire. He was a fair man who always did things with the utmost quality and care. Michael was also a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and loved to go on long rides.
Michael’s bright smile and spirit will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda Rosenberg; his cherished son, Mitch Rosenberg and his wife, Lila; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Rosenberg, and his sister, Ellen Rosenberg.
Michael will be laid to rest on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY 11003.
