Big Greg is my father in law. There is simply no one like him. I was so lucky to have his love, humor, and support for these past 23 years. He was an incredible grandfather to our kids, Dominick and Milo. He showed them unconditional love and was delighted whenever he was with them. Even when they were not delightful! Haha, he would be laughing I know it, upon reading that. He helped me when my mother passed away. He helped me when I had my own cancer battles. He was always there for us. Every apartment we lived in, every time we moved, he was there in some way or another. My favorite story was when he had little Mimi kitten that Jeremy had gotten for us at Christmas. We couldn’t keep her because we had two cats in a tiny NYC apartment. So Janice and Greg kept her. Well they had never had a cat before. Greg panicked when hearing Mimi purring and thought she was sick and rushed her to the vet! Mimi became a family member in no time and gave them both years of happiness.
Greg will be and is missed everyday.
Love to you all, Stephanie

Janice, Karen and I were so saddened to learn of Greg's passing and regret we were unable to attend the services.
Greg was a quiet and good man who will be sorely missed. Covenant House has been one of the charities I've supported for many years and was pleased to make another donation in Greg's memory.
Our heartfelt thoughts are with you and your family.

I would just like to say a few things about our brother Greg. We know that Greg loved to work around the house or on other properties. Seemed like he always had a project going. Even when he as battling the cancer and radiation, he always talked about getting back to fixing things around the house. When he was young, I believe about 10-11 yrs old, he built the stairs to our back porch off of the kitchen. They were perfect. Our father had bought us a wooden dingy. We would carry to the river and go for a nice float. Not Greg, he'd rowed that boat like someone was chasing us!! He was a catcher in baseball. When the ball was off the plate a little, he would move it to over the plate to make it look like a strike and umpire would get mad at him. He would do it faster than the umpire could see! And he threw the ball back to the pitcher faster than the pitcher could throw (except for our brother Stephen). He was very good! And lastly but the most important. Janice, you were the love of his life! We will miss you Brother!

Greg and I were friends at St. Patrick school. We went to different high schools, and i rarely saw him after grammar school. But I still remember his great sense of humor, his quiet self-confidence, and his friendly way to this day. Looking at his picture on this website, i can still see that great amused look he always had, like he noticed something funny that everyone else missed. I'm really truly sorry to hear of his passing. He was a great guy!

Janice - Our deepest condolences to you, your kids/grandkids, and the rest of the Olear/Olivieri family. Greg was always so kind to Aidan and Adalyn - I remember Aidan following him all over your house one time, specifically downstairs where he talked to Aidan about Legos, gave him chocolates, and let him sit in his recliner. I know how much Greg enjoyed my cookies every year, and I'm glad he was able to have them again this past Christmas. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love always,
Christine Fox and Family

In July, Victoria and I said "goodbye" to Greg in person. His passing was expected, however, the idea I will never see the brother who played baseball, fished in the Passiac River, rode the school bus, rode our bikes and spent so much time with is attenuated by the memories and our shared belief in the heavenly reward. Our condolences and love go to Janice. Jan provided Greg with every ounce of her being the full devotion to the marriage vows. Condolences to "Little" Greg (as we fondly referred to him) and Jeremy. Fellows, your Dad was very proud of you. Jason Kneval and Mary Ann were special to Greg and special Vickie and me.
Our East-West Coast family had many memorable vacations: I remember, when the kids were small, nine of us packed into my 7's model 2-door Caddy and drove from San Jose to Santa Ana. The highlight of the 400 mile trip was the Little Greg becoming overcome with joy at seeing the gates of Disneyland.
Another time rented an RV and traveled to Arizonia in the blistering August heat because Greg wanted to experience the desert! Other vacas were to NYC, Madison, and Washington, DC. Greg was an exceptional traveling companion! Several unplanned but highly appreciated meet-ups occurred due to the thoughtfulness of John Primavera using his airline miles to bring Greg and Jeremy to Orange County.
Greg lives in the loving hands of Jesus Christ. As for the rest of us:"Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted" Matthew 5:4

Dear Janice and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your husband. Although I did not know him, I know how you lovingly cared for him throughout his health battles - you truly lived your marriage vows of 'in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health'.
It was my lucky night in June 2021 to sit at the same table as you at the SVM Cornerstone Summer Solstice gathering. You tenderly listened to my sorrow of losing my beloved husband just two months earlier and you showed me much compassion as I was feeling overwhelmed with grief for much of that evening. You were genuinely interested in me and my boys and I felt so lucky that night to be seated with you. And then a few days later, I received the most heartfelt and comforting card from you - your loving and kind words truly lifted my spirits and gave me comfort at a time when daily life was feeling truly daunting and overwhelming to me. Your kindness and genuine caring meant more to me than I could relay in words. I felt God sent me a blessing with your caring friendship that night.
I am keeping you and your family in my prayers - take comfort in knowing that you are an amazing and dedicated wife and caregiver to your beloved husband and that he is resting in eternal life and peace, looking upon you with a beautiful smile from Heaven.
God Bless You, Antoinette Walsh

Dear friends,
Janice, Greg & sons~
The memories we have shared from childhood days, highschool years, to our adult years will be the "keepsakes" that comfort our sad hearts. So many nice things to say about our dear friends, Janice & Greg! They were what vows were written about. His devotion to Jan & her deep, unselfish love & dedication to him was evident and beautiful to see.
" In sickness & health" were not just words, they lived them!
Jim & I were blessed with their friendship~ and those good times & memories will be forever etched in our hearts. Rest in peace dear friend, now my mom ( the original queen of rice pudding) can make it for you in heaven!
Our love & forever friendship,
"Us Brady's", Ann Marie & Jim X♡
