Obituary of Margaret Rose DeBiasse-Detieue

Margaret Rose DeBiasse-Detieue, of Parsippany, a former lifelong Madison resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at St. Clare’s Hospice in Dover. She was 72.

Margaret is survived by her sister, Joanne Goer; her nieces and nephews, Pat DeBiasse III (Kim), Dawn DeBiasse Neville (Ken), Gary DeBiasse & Christine Goer, and many other extended family members & friends. She is predeceased by her two brothers, Pat DeBiasse, Jr. & Frederick Debiasse, and her niece, Francine Goer-Ardito.

Margaret was born in Morristown on October 19, 1949 to the late Pasquale DeBiasse and Francis Napolitano. She was raised in Madison with her three siblings.

Margaret was a graduate of St. Vincent Martyr School and graduated with honors from Madison High School where she was a varsity cheerleader. Margaret went on to earn bachelor’s degree in fine arts with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Margaret was extremely intelligent and strong-willed as a young woman. She was fluent in French. She spoke and wrote in the language beautifully.

Margaret loved to play the piano and was skilled at knitting & crocheting. She always had a special place in her heart for animals and she loved her dog “Noner” & her cat “Panache” dearly.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Margaret held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by a prayer service which will begin at 12:00PM at the funeral home.

Interment will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the St. Clare’s Hospice (via Visiting Nurse Association)
