I am so sorry fo your family's loss. Jerry was my godmother and took her "duties" seriously. She has not missed a birthday or holiday greeting and always writes in her signature green ink. Jerry always asks about family- my mother, siblings, daughter, and grandchildren. She was my mom's maid of honor and I have photos of Jerry in her beautiful gown, as well as pictures of my parents and me at Jerry’s and Joey's wedding (I was a baby). God bless all of you in this difficult time.

Patty, thank you for sharing your memories of my mother. I was able to locate your mom, and my mother was so excited to have that time to talk with her. I wish I had found it sooner.

Simply put, she was the greatest. Her and Uncle Joe could walk into a room not knowing anyone and immediately the place would be roaring with laughter. Uncle Joe passed a few years back and she would swear she could still see him. A few days ago I thought I saw her on a park bench in Madison on the same day she passed not knowing the news yet that it was the same day and remembered being a kid and every family party at our house, waiting for Uncle Joe and Aunt Geri to come to run out the front door and jump into their arms and visiting them and those big long hugs and double cheek kisses and it was always a smile and “Mangia! Eat! Eat!” Heaven gained another lucky one and a loving couple of 59 years becomes whole again.

Ray, thank you for these great memories. They both always looked forward to joining your family for gatherings. I love how you remember the great feelings when you saw my dad.
