Obituary of Teresa C. Paoli
Teresa C. Paoli was called to God's Kingdom at Valley View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newton, NJ on May 20, 2022.
She lived 82 years of her life in Madison before moving to her daughter’s home in Ogdensburg, NJ where she lived for 12 years.
Born in Madison, NJ on July 15, 1927 to Salvatore and Potenza (Salerno) Scala at 7-1/2 months, at a time when incubators had yet to be invented. A testament to how strong a woman she was throughout her life. She was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Having a very strong faith, she prayed her rosary and read from her prayer book throughout the day. She also enjoyed soap operas, game shows and reading.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank V. Paoli, Sr.; siblings Anna (Leo), Philomenia (Minnie) and brother Joseph (Beverly). Also her son-in-law Joseph Barrett.
Survivors include a son Frank (Cyndi) from PA, and daughter Marie. Grandson Joseph Barrett from Hardyston Township, NJ; granddaughter Melanie (Barrett) Kresge (Mike) and great-grandchildren Michael & Maddox from Maine; along with nephews and nieces, and lifelong friends Sally, Angie & Hilda.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Teresa on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM held at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison.
All may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 prior to a Liturgy of Christian Burial that will be held at 10:00 AM St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Those who wish to attend the Funeral Mass virtually can visit svmnj.org.
Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.
