I was so sad to hear of Ginny's passing from my brother Tom. Ginny was one of my best friends throughout high school and was one of my bridesmaids. But, I joined the military and left the state and then the country and never returned to live in NJ. In those days of snail mail and long distance calls charged by the minute, we grew completely out of touch. I have so many memories of Ginny. I remember her in her younger days always with perfect curls that her mother somehow managed to create before curling irons became the norm. I remember she would always get the vanilla ice cream in the paper cones with foil lids that we used to be able to buy at school on Fridays because she didn't want to risk getting chocolate on her white shirt. She was unusually organized and tidy. At least I thought so. As a teenager, she was so smart (graduating from high school early) and talented (both musically and artistically) and stunningly beautiful and funny. I can picture her driving her first car in which I was often a passenger - she was so proud of that. I remember cutting school with her and our friend Doris once and spending the day in the field up in the woods behind her house near a structure that her brothers and some of their friends started to construct out of random pieces of wood and tree branches. She brought her guitar and I remember her playing and singing, among other things, some Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young songs. We got busted. Me largely because I was so sunburnt. It was impossible to explain how that could have happened at school. I was in awe of Ginny and thought her perfect. I felt privileged to be her friend and will always cherish the time we spent together, the laughter, and the fun. I will always remember her this way. I am so sorry for you loss. With sympathy, Dottie (Early) Hoggatt
