Obituary of Thomas Fox, Jr.

Thomas Fox, Jr., a longtime resident of Madison, died peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2020, after a short illness. He was 96.

Mr. Fox was born on May 5, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Thomas and Kate Fox, and grew up in Maspeth, Queens. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and held degrees from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute (now known as the New York University Tandon School of Engineering) and from Columbia University. He was retired from Bell Laboratories. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1943 to 1946. Mr. Fox was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison since 1959.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his wife, the former Addy Adorno, who died in 1957, and his brother, Fred Fox. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara, of Franklin Park.

A memorial service to celebrate Thomas' life was held at Grace Episcopal Church, Madison.
