Obituary of Jovany Builes

Jovany Builes, of Madison, died suddenly of natural causes on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 30.

Jovany was born in Filandia, Colombia on January 14, 1989 to Gildardo & Olga Lucia Builes. He was raised in Filandia and spent his life in Colombia, prior to emigrating to the United States three years ago and settling in Madison. He worked as a landscaper with Franco's Landscaping Co.

Jovany was a dedicated and hard-working young man who was optimistic and proud of the opportunities moving to the United States afforded him. He looked forward to one day becoming a citizen, advancing his life here and starting a family of his own.

Jovany was a loving, attentive son and checked on his parents back in Colombia every day. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Jovany is survived by his parents, cousins & many dear friends.

Funeral services and interment will be held in Filandia, Colombia. Arrangements and repatriation are under the direction of the Madison Memorial Home.
