I went to school with Nick at Florida State and then we both ended up in Atlanta. We kept in touch via FB but I had no idea he'd past away until this week. I have not idea what happened. All I can say is that he was a joy to be around in the time I knew him. We laughed so hard together. He had such a great sense of humor and was an all around good guy.

Nick was an extraordinary man and had many dear friends who loved him. He had such a good nature and always added enthusiasm and zest for life wherever he went. He was so much fun to be around. He also wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable and share his inner feelings. He had a way of making you feel like he really appreciated you as a person. Many of us who worked with Nick were left with memories of his words that were tremendously moving. I will carry those with me and try to do the same for others in his honor. THE WORLD IS A MUCH BETTER PLACE SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU TRAVELED THROUGH IT NICK. You were an incredible friend, helped me personally more than anyone will ever know, and like the beautiful obituary said, "You always put others first." While your loss is a huge void, your Godly accomplishments explains it all. Look what impact you had in just 52 short years. Very few could accomplish what you did in 100 years, let alone 52. You completed the work (God's assignment) so fast and in return were rewarded the gift of Heavenly Life sooner than all of us wanted. Your work is complete now Nick. I am so proud of you Chez. I am very sorry to hear of Nick's passing. I enjoyed visiting with Him and my brother Larry, in years past. He always made me feel comfortable when I was around.I still have video's of vacationing in Atlanta,staying at their house with my children, and playing ping pong, with him, and joking about the Bears vs. the Cowboys. I had a chance to have a few laughs with Nick in Las Vegas, last year, He had a great smile, to go with his witty sense of humor. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy, Louis Churnovic

I have known Nick since 1994. He was one of the first people I met in Atlanta and he was a good friend for years. We reconnected on Facebook and I have loved catching up with him. He was the same man I knew in the 90s, funny, welcoming, and genuine. I will miss him. I'm counting on my memories being a blessing, as I hope his family will.

Dear Family, I am deeply heartbroken and sad to hear about Nick. I can't imagine the pain everyone one of you must be going thru. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
