Obituary of Toni A. Scotti
Toni Adele Scotti (nee Donato), a lifelong Madison resident, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 14, 2019 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 59.
Toni was born in Summit on December 27, 1959 and was a third generation Madisonian. After graduating from Madison High School, Toni went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park. She had a long career as a paralegal real estate secretary in Madison at the law office of Joseph Mezzacca Jr.
In 1977, Toni first met Gary Scotti and the couple were married on June 8, 1985. The couple settled in Madison, where they raised their daughter and have lived since. Toni loved her family and friends tremendously and would do anything for them. She had a big heart and warm nature that will always be remembered.
Toni loved vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard with her family. She appreciated the beauty of Lucy Vincent beach and enjoyed spending time there often. She also loved watching the sunset at Menemsha Harbor. Toni was an avid walker, especially with the company of her beloved dogs, Eddy (who predeceased her) and Kylie.
Toni was predeceased by her father, Anthony J. Donato. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Gary Scotti of Madison, her loving daughter, Kelli Albert and her husband, Michael of Clermont, FL; her dear mother, Stephanie Donato; her 4 devoted sisters, Darlene Bakur of Dewey Beach, DE; Lee Anne Stanley and her husband, Jerome of Basking Ridge; Karen Donato of West Orange; and Laurie Mindnich and her husband, Stephen of Madison; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & dear friends.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Toni’s life will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, with a memorial service beginning at 6:30PM at the funeral home during the visiting hours.
