I would like to express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Dew's family. I knew her to be a friendly, supportive, devoted teacher who did all she could for her students and the Madison schools. She also raised responsible, caring children who I knew as students in my history classes. You can all be proud to know that she touched all of us with her kindness and generosity, and that we miss her very much. I'm not sure I can attend the viewing or service, but I wanted to make sure that I let you know that I will always remember Mrs. Dew (and I only called her Mrs. Dew) for her greetings and her steadfast support of education and children.

Victoria was such a wonderful person whose aura embraced all who knew her. We are deeply saddened by her passing and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family. Our condolences can do little to fill the gap left by her passing. Be assured, however, our lives have been enriched by knowing her. May God rest her soul in peace...

I am so sorry not to be able to be at the visitation or the service for Victoria. She will always be a shining star in my memory. When I taught Conversational Spanish at MHS, "Senora Dew" (sometimes known as "Senora Don't") was my co-teacher. We had a ball, and I can truly say that even though I might have been a few inches taller, she towered over me in the classroom. The kids adored her and on the few days she was absent (for example to visit her beloved children and grandchildren) the students were despondent. We had quite a few cultural events as part of the curriculum, and Victoria often brought empanadas and other wonderful treats. She was also a great dancer, and taught us all the traditional Colombian dance, the Cumbia. She always had everyone up, bouncing around to the music!
With one glance, Victoria had the kids in line because they loved and respected her. A terrific lady, great friend, magnificent teacher. She will be missed forever by so many of us. Penny Scheer

It was such a blessing to work alongside Victoria on several different committees at Long Hill Chapel. She was a tremendous role model and leader for the deaconess for so many years. Her heart was always full of love and compassion. She always cared about the details, big or small. When I worked with her on the missions committee I got to see her heart for the needs of missions and her deep concern about them. She would pray from all her heart. You will be missed so much, Victoria. I am sure that you are hearing Jesus say “Well done good and faithful servant” and now you are enjoying the presence of your Savior. I love you so much Victoria and I will never forget you.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," as we know that is where our beloved Victoria, "Mama Dew" is today in her eternal home with the Lord Jesus Christ where there is no darkness, tears, sorrow or pain.
It was my privilege and honor to serve alongside her on
several committees at Long Hill Chapel. Victoria was my mentor, friend, and prayer partner who I loved deeply and will miss deeply. She was a hard working, humble servant and truly an exceptional woman and I look forward to seeing her again. "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

I had the pleasure of knowing Victoria for the past 7 years at MHS. Anyone who came in contact with her knew that she was one of a kind! She was one of the most dedicated professionals I’ve seen but moreso, one of the kindest. I could always count on a friendly hello or an impromptu chat in the hallway. She exuded warmth and compassion. I’ll miss seeing her shuffle around school! She was taken way too soon and way too fast. I gave her a “believe” charm and told her to hang on to it as she faced her recent challenges. She said she did believe. That was Victoria.
My deepest condolences are with her family at this time. I hope it helps to know that she will be remembered always.

An angel left for heaven this week and will be missed by all of us at MHS. Victoria always had a smile and a kind word even when she was worried about one of the Dews being far from home. She loved to tell stories about her boys and show them off when they visited school. When I ran the Care Packages project, she would always be the first to offer to help, to donate items, and to give me the names of local soldiers who were deployed overseas so we could send them a care package. I am honored and blessed to have known Victoria. She was truly a blessing in my life and I will miss her. May she rest in peace!

We are thinking of you all at this time. Victoria was an extraordinary woman, one who radiated goodness and kindness. Her love of family and willingness to fold others into her circle made her dear to so many. The Conley boys spent many hours playing with the Dew boys, always under the tender watch of Victoria. What sweet memories! Always up for a trip to a museum or zoo or adventures closer to home like sledding on the golf course, Victoria was the organizer and photographer. She adored her family and loved to share photos and news of the growing Dew clan. We know she is in heaven because she was an angel on earth.
