Obituary of John J. Hilovsky
John J. Hilovsky, a longtime Madison resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the age of 88.
John was born in Scranton, PA to the late John and Mary Hilovsky and was raised in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY. Following high school John served his country proudly during the Korean War in the US Army. John earned his B.S in Chemistry from Queens College in Flushing, NY. He lived in Far Rockaway for 25 years prior to relocating to Madison, where he has lived for over 40 years. Prior to his retirement John was a chemist with the Mennen Company of Morris Plains.
John was predeceased by his brother, Frank J. Hilovsky, one year ago. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 9:00AM to 9:45AM at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by an 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church, Madison. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
