Obituary of Rose Prisco

Rose Prisco (nee Esposito), a longtime Madison resident, passed away on June 3, 2018 surrounded by her family at Morristown Medical Center. She was 84.

Rose was born in Morristown on September 29, 1933 to the late Pellegrino and Angelina Esposito. In 1973 tragedy struck the family when Rose’s husband, Generoso, died suddenly. Rose would be responsible for raising 9 young children, a seemingly impossible task. With her tremendous strength and steadfast faith in God, Rose raised her 9 children with love and care as a single mother. All of her children look back with pride in her accomplishments and will always hold her memory dear.

Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband Generoso Prisco; her granddaughter, Phylis Resh; and her son-in-law, Lester Resh;. She leaves behind her six sons, Generoso Prisco of Madison, Anthony Prisco and his wife, Karen of Sparta, Vincent Prisco of Madison, Michael Prisco and his wife, Susan of Mendham, Patrick Prisco and his wife, Portia of Nutley, and Richard Prisco and his wife, Eleonora of Rockaway; her three daughters, Phylis Resh of Morris Plains, Isabel Garside and her husband, James of Parrish, FL, and Donna Perrello and her husband, George of White Lake, NY; her brother, Sonny Esposito of Morristown; her sister, Isabel Mondello of Morris Twp.; 9 beloved grandchildren, Anthony Prisco, Jamie Kovacs, Jody Balter, Dana Carelo, Krystal Perrello, George Perrello, Samantha Prisco, Generoso Prisco, and Nicole Prisco; 3 cherished great-grandchildren, Anthony Carelo, Jr., Ryan Carelo, and Ava Rose Balter; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
