Obituary of Marjorie Della Vecchia
Marjorie V. Della Vecchia (nee Nechwort), a longtime Parsippany resident, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Brightview Assisted Living in Randolph. She was 92.
Marjorie leaves behind her two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband, Charles of Parsippany & Deborah Della Vecchia of Bath, PA. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Laura, Brittany and Michael; and two great-grandchildren, Julian and Bela. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carmine Della Vecchia in May of 2017; her brother, George Nechwort; and her sister, Eleanor Hitchens.
Marjorie was born in Nutley on October 4, 1925 to the late Frank and Florence Nechwort. She lived in Denville for several years after her marriage to her late husband, Carmine, and the couple eventually moved to Parsippany where they raised their family and resided for many years. The couple had many good memories spending winters at their home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Marjorie was a bookkeeper for many years at Nissan of Denville. She worked there with her late husband, the founder & owner of the dealership, for many years before retiring. She loved gardening and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Marjorie’s most cherished time was spent with her beloved family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Marjorie will be held privately. Arrangements by Madison Memorial Home.
