Gail’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/wp20140101/

Gifted with wit from her Irish grandparents Gail often used that humor to deal with life.
Because she had more than her share of illness episodes, she could have become unhappy and bitter.
Instead she remained cheerful and positive in her dealings with children and adults. She worked hard
wherever God placed her, reaching out to be helpful wherever she could. As cousins our families made
the long trips from Colorado to New Jersey and vice versa several times. Their first trip involved a camper Gail's Dad remodeled to hold Gail and her three siblings. Bravely they crossed the country seeing America. In recent years Gail and Barb made several trips by air and talked more frequently on our phones. The recent interactions demonstrated Gail's gentle spirit and desire to serve the Lord. She often shared her absolute trust in her Saviour saying she was in a win-win situation. If she survived from any medical crisis she would keep serving God. But if she died she would meet Him face to face and be free from pain. So now we know where Gail is and how she is. And we know that through faith in Christ we will see her again.

I didn’t have too many encounters with Gail. But the few I had I was truly blessed. I first met her in Denver when I was about 9 years old. She went on a vacation to Vail with my family, Vernon, Ann, Bob and Barb. She had a wonderful sense of humor and I just enjoyed being around her. Even though I was a distant second cousin, she made me feel like we were sisters. She loved me and was concerned about me. And I know she prayed for me and my family. My parents, Bob and Barb, and my husband and boys visited Gail, Brent, Joan, and Aunt Marjorie about six years ago and it was such a wonderful time. I’m very grateful for that memory. I will miss being able to call Gail but I know that I will see her again. She is with her Savior, Jesus. And I know that someday we’ll have another family gathering and it will be more glorious than any memories I have. I can’t wait to see you, Gail! Thank you for the love you shared with me and my family! May the Lord grant peace that passes all understanding and blessings to Brent and Joan, Bruce and Elizabeth, and her family and friends who will miss her.

My condolences and sincerest sympathies to the entire family. Though it had been years since I last saw her, I remember Miss Barton very well. She was the first of my two home room teachers @ ECLC. I will miss her for sure, and will always remember her and what a wonderful teacher and person she was.
