Obituary of Pauline J. Curlo
Pauline J. Curlo passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA at the age of 93.
Pauline is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathy Johnson of East Longmeadow, MA; her two cherished granddaughters, Jennifer Rose Johnson, and her husband Mankin Yuen & Jessica Rose Johnson, both of MA; her dear sister, Freda Russo and her husband Phil of Madison; and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nofie Curlo in 2001; her son-in-law, David M. Johnson; her brother, Vincent Andriola; and her sister-in-law, Carmela Andriola.
Pauline was born in Morristown on July 9, 1924 to the late Ernest and Rose Andriola. She was raised in Madison and lived there until moving to East Longmeadow, MA in 2001 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Pauline remained very fond of her hometown and kept in close contact with her friends and family from Madison.
She cherished her time spent with family and friends tremendously. She loved to cook for everyone, especially during the Christmas holiday, when she prepared the traditional Italian family meal on Christmas eve. She would sew and make clothes for family and friends as well, always doing things for others. She created many good memories for her family and she will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will begin at 9:00AM on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison, followed by a 10:00AM Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Vincent Martyr RC Church in Madison. Interment will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery, Madison. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to celebrate Pauline's life on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM held at the funeral home.
