Obituary of Mary MacDougall

Mary S. MacDougall Former Madison meter reader with a talent for decorative arts and painting, 82 Mary S. MacDougall (nee Sweet) of Madison, N.J., died on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at the Morris View Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Morris Plains, N.J. She was 82 years old. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, Sept. 19, at 9 a.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Convent Station, N.J. Interment is at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Madison. Visitation is on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Mrs MacDougall was born in Orange, N.J., and moved to Madison in 1942. She was the meter reader for the Borough of Madison Water and Light Dept. for 12 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to this, she worked at Higgs and Co. in ceramic metal plate. Her passion was the enjoyment of her friends from Bailey Ellard High School. She had a particular joy for decorating and painting. Mary is survived by her children, Kenneth and his wife, Janet; Karen Dunn; Cheryl MacDougall and her husband, Clifford Armitage; Judy Garrity, and Bruce and his wife, Caterina; her sister, Ann DeBiasse; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory to the Morris View Health Care Center, Patient Accounts, 540 West Hanover Ave., Morris Plains, N.J. 07950, would be appreciated.
