Obituary of Alfonso Guerriero Sr.

Alfonso Guerriero Sr. Native of Italy, retired cable splicer Alfonso Guerriero Sr., 87, of Madison, N.J., died on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, at the Chatham Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chatham Township, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at 9 a.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison. Interment is at St. Vincent Martyr Cemetery, and visitation is Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Mr. Guerriero was born in Mugnano del Cardinale, Italy, and lived most of his life in New York City before moving to Madison one-and-a-half years ago. Mr. Guerriero was a cable splicer for the New York Transit Authority in New York City for 20 years, retiring many years ago. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna (nee Prezioso); his loving children, Angelo Guerriero, Mary Fardella, and Alfonso Guerriero Jr.; a dear brother, Carmine Guerriero; eight devoted grandchildren, and a dear great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation in his memory would be appreciated.
