Obituary of Jacqueline Bennett

Jacqueline Bennett AGE: 88 • Madison Jacqueline Bennett, 88, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her residence in Madison of natural causes. She is survived by her son Wesley Bennett Jr., a brother Jessie Spain, and two sisters Jean Jinkins and Barbara Turner. Born in Long Branch, New Jersey and raised in Montclair,. she was the daughter of James and Dorothy Spain. She graduated from St Francis Nursing School as a Registered Nurse and went on to become the head nurse in her unit at Mountainside Hospital. Around 1966 she and her husband moved to Madison and started a family. She continued to work as a nurse and ultimately finished her career working for the N.J. Commission for the Blind in Newark, N.J. . An avid churchgoer Jacqueline loved Saints Vincent's and was an active participant in church activities. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, Friday, January 22, at 9am from the Madison Memorial Home 159 Main St. Madison, with a funeral mass at 10am at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison. Interment St. Vincents Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 5-8pm.
