My memories of Dawn are all very similar : I was always equally shocked and surprised by her outfits and makeup at all times. I couldn’t believe this Grandmother was fully Jersey glam and every piece of jewelry she owned (ish) she was wearing all the time. I’m forever grateful for the example she set, maybe unknowingly, that it’s always ok just to be exactly who you are and be comfortable enough to just rock exactly what you felt at that moment. I am also unbelievably grateful that she raised one of the most amazing people I have ever known, Christine (Piccione) Bailey. I am thankful to have known Dawn as a mother and grandmother and am equally thankful to know she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is in the presence of her Heavenly Father now in complete peace.

Dear family of Dawn, Frank, Glen and his family, Christine and her family, Joe and I are so sad to hear of her passing. She was certainly a special person and I felt some kind of kindred spirit with her as we both shared stories with each other of being a nurse to pediartic patients. One humorous story Joe liked to share was the time a talent show was to be held at Madison Baptist Church as a Friday Night entertainment event. Of course everyone was encouraged to participate. Joe was Building and Grounds chairman at the time and Dawn asked him if he could provide a stage for her to do a tap dance. It was a little difficult because the fellowship hall was carpeted. He managed to procure enough plywood to meet her specifications. She danced a lively tap dance much to everyone’s delight. Joe labeled the wood as the Dawn Piccconi memorial stage and stored it in the basement. We left there 35 years ago, but on inspection of the storage area her stage might still be there. I know she will be missed but am glad she has met her savior and she has no more pain. Our love to all of you
