I will never forget the first time I met Dona Franklin. I wandered into Chatham United Methodist Church one Sunday morning and was greeted at the door by Pastor Jeff. He led me into the sanctuary and sat me down next to a lovely lady who was Dona! I was taken by her kindness and welcoming way, and also by Pastor Jeff's sermon, and thereafter continued to attend church, with Dona to my right each Sunday morning until she became too ill to attend church some years later. Such a sweet lady was she! Sincere condolences to her loving family. Fran Romano
