Obituary of Ann C. Bartek
Ann C. Bartek, a longtime Madison resident, died peacefully on December 24, 2023 at Morristown Medical Center. She was 82.
Ann is survived by her sister, Nancy Sibona and her husband Vincent; and numerous nieces, nephews & dear friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. John E. Bartek.
Ann was born and raised in Madison, graduating from Madison High School. Before she was married Ann was a hairdresser.
Ann and John lived in Wharton after they were married before settling back in Madison in 1980. Ann was the office manager for her husband’s medical practice in Madison for many years before retiring.
Ann loved her husband John deeply and the two were inseparable. She was a warm and kind woman, and she especially loved her nieces and nephews. Ann was also a faith-filled woman and a lifelong parishioner of St. Vincent Martyr Church.
Ann was a gifted artist and prolific writer. She enjoyed painting, ceramics and writing poetry.
Ann will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her warmth and good nature will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Relatives and friends may gather at St. Vincent Martyr Church to greet the family at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 prior to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated for Ann at 10:00 a.m. Those who wish may attend the mass virtually by visiting www.svmnj.org
Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Ann’s memory to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
