Obituary of Giuseppe Cino

Giuseppe Cino, a longtime resident of Kenilworth, died peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 88. 

Giuseppe is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalia Cino (née Pugliese); three devoted children; two cherished grandsons; one sister, Francesca Cuppari; one brother, Michele Cino; and several extended family members. 

In addition to his parents, Giuseppe was predeceased by his brother, Antonio Cino. 

Giuseppe was born on September 13, 1935, in Spilinga, Italy to the late Domenico and Vincenza Cino. He worked as a farmer for his family and served in the Italian military as a young man. 

Giuseppe and Rosalia were married in 1969, and the couple immediately emigrated to the United States settling in Kenilworth where they raised their family.  

Family was everything to Giuseppe, and he worked tirelessly his entire life to provide a wonderful life for his family. He was a hard-working father, and he was so proud of his two grandsons. 

Giuseppe was an extremely talented gardener and generously shared his fruits and vegetables with friends. He loved being outdoors constantly. He treasured the holidays with his family and summers at the beach.  In 1994, Giuseppe suffered a traumatic brain injury and made a miraculous recovery thanks to his skilled doctors, patient therapists, and caring family.  In his golden years, Giuseppe enjoyed spending winters in Florida.

Although Giuseppe will be deeply missed by his family and friends, they take solace in knowing he is at peace. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Giuseppe will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Theresa RC Church, 541 Washington Avenue, Kenilworth, NJ. 

Entombment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
