Obituary of Nancy Ann Guerriero

Nancy Ann Guerriero, a lifelong Madison resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

Nancy is survived by her brother Anthony Guerriero and his companion Louise; her three sisters Lenore Ciullo, Maria Worbetz and her husband Marty, and Bernadette Kroemer and her husband Steve; her cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins and dear friends.

Nancy was born December 16, 1946 to the late Carmine and Nancy Rose Guerriero (née Capozza). She grew up in Madison and graduated from Bayley Ellard high school before attending cosmetology school for hairdressing.  She was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison.

Nancy had a long and fulfilling career as a hairdresser with different salons in the area, including her own salon, Norma-Lu, in Madison. She formed lifelong friendships with her coworkers and clients and kept in touch with many of them, long after she became retired.

In her younger years, Nancy loved traveling to different places and taking road trips throughout the United States.  She shared many stories of her adventures, and how much fun she had.  She was always an avid reader and enjoyed  games like scrabble, crossword puzzles, and canasta. Nancy adored her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and treated them like her own children. Holidays were always even more special because of the family traditions she carried on, and the love she gave to all of her family. She was an excellent cook and loved sharing her Mother and Grandmother’s recipes and reminiscing of the way she learned to become a great cook.

Nancy was a treasured sister, a very special aunt, a caring cousin and an amazing friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is at peace with the Lord.

A Memorial Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Friday, March 10, 2023, at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Memorial Gathering for Nancy prior to the Mass from 9:30AM to 10:00AM in the front vestibule of the church. Those who wish may attend the mass virtually by visiting www.svmnj.org.

Nancy’s interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to St. Vincent Martyr Church.
