Obituary of Catherine Capen

Catherine Dempsey Capen, 80, of Madison NJ passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023.

Born in Westwood MA, Cathi was a graduate of Madison High School and the Katharine Gibbs School. She was a proud homemaker and worked as a part-time bookkeeper and office manager.  She was also a member of the Rosary Society at St Vincent Martyr Church.

Cathi is predeceased by her husband of 60 years Donald, parents John Francis and Florence Ross Dempsey, adoptive mother Rose Dempsey, and sister Barbara Dempsey.  She is survived by her brother Jack and his wife Denise, brother Paul and his wife Sue, son Scott and his wife Colleen, daughter Kym and her husband Tim Ehrenburg, daughter Donna and her husband Mark Lyons.  She was also the proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at St Vincent Martyr Catholic Church on Wednesday January 18^th at 10:00am.  Interment will be held privately.
