It was an honor and privilege to serve as assistant and sit alongside the Firkin Quiz Master. I have so many great memories of those times that I will cherish forever. I still don't believe anyone got Voodoo Chile!
Ged was a great friend and I have many fond memories of the times we spent together; whether on family vacations, hanging out on his deck enjoying a bbq on a Friday night, or creating the first (and last) Chathamdales calendar.
Ged was a wonderful person who touched so many lives in the most positive of ways. He was warm, generous, caring and had a great wit. It was a blessing to know him. I’m so glad he was able to know his grandchildren and vice versa. His legacy will live on through them, Alex and James.
Thinking of Allison, Alex, James and the extended Miley family at this terribly sad time and sending much❤️

Although I didn't know Jed well, I will always remember his warmth and wit at the pub quizzes. So sorry to hear of his passing. Love and condolences to Alison and the family. Rest easy, Jed x

Ged was an absolute joy to work with, starting in the Spring of 2008 in Charlotte through the Fall of 2019 in Charlotte (again). We debated all things – football, accounting, politics, indirect cost allocation methods, rugby, beer, his mastery of the true version of the English language (Manchester English of course), etc. He always had sound advice for a road-warrior dad – family always had to come first. He was so proud of James and Alexandra. Alison you were and are the love of his life. Ged, you are in my thoughts and prayers – I learned a lot from you my friend!

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolence. Death and grief are so hard especially the first year but our Great God of comfort (2Cor 1:3) has sent his son to show us He will remember our loved ones, just like when Christ remembered Lazarus and resurrected him back to life on earth. (John 11) Christ assured us of this promise at John 5:28,29! May these passages help you to endure with hope! With my deepest sympathy.
