My deepest condolences to the Newman family and prayers for Frank. He was a superb NCO, and was outstanding State Command Sergeant Major. Sorry I could not attend the funeral and the services at Doyle Cemetery. It was my honor to serve with him for so many years.

We lost an icon. Frank was the straight and narrow example to follow. I first met Frank when he was HHB's 1st Sergeant in 1975. He set the example of how a soldier should model himself after. Being from active duty army I was amazed at how the National Guard functioned, quite different than the active component but Frank was conducting himself as his active counterpart would. Shortly after that he was promoted to Command Sgt Major of the 3d 112th FA. He continued his professional career even raising the level of his professionalism to exacting measures. If you were doing something wrong Frank was always there to correct you. It was uncanny how he always showed up when things were amiss. When Frank was at the Military Academy in Sea Girt I was going into the dining facility and I heard the voice of God behind me. He said "Hey if I didn't know any better I'd swear you were Fennimore." I recognized the voice immediately I turned around and there was Frank right behind me! That was how he was. Always straight as a pin keeping the standards high. It was his conviction to duty that I believe got him to be appointed CSM of the State of New Jersey. It is as high as you could go in the NJARNG. This certainly was no surprise to anyone who knew Frank. I pray Frank is at peace and resting comfortably.

Frank will always be thought of as one of the great mentors and examples of leadership I have known. His professional demeanor, dry sense of humor, and calm approach to life were always reassuring in times of stress, and it was a pleasure to watch him work. With Doris at his side, it was always a great experience having dinner or a night out. Caroline and I will always treasure our time and memories with Frank.

Dear Doris & Family,
So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. Deb and my prayers go out to all of you. It was my pleasure to have known Frank when we worked together in the training office at the NJ National Guard State Headquarters in Lawrenceville. He was a true professional who always looked out for his Soldiers. Frank also had a great sense of humor in which I have many fond memories of us laughing together. God bless Frank and the Newman Family.
Yours in Christ,
Mike & Deb LoQuasto Sr

Dearest Doris & family~ Frank was such a "pleasant to be around" kind of friend. Jim & I met him more recent than most, but the times we shared will be ours for a lifetime. As God made them he matched them, and as a "couple" you were that "perfect match"! We will miss dear Frank , but his memory will continue through our times with you, dear Doris. God bless Frank & all of you, his loving family!
Our love & caring~"Us Brady',s"

My condolences! Frank was the First Sergeant of the 3/112 FA unit that I joined. We couldn’t get away with anything because he was always there when we thought it was safe to goof off. Was a great guy and a great soldier.
