Always a pleasure to see him at 830 mass. Although we do not speak, he always smiled and nodded whenever he saw someone.

Tony was a regular at 8:30 mass and I think secretly, or maybe not so secretly, wanted to be a priest since he always finished the Priest's part before the Congregation would respond. It was sad to see his knees get so bad over the years.
I will miss seeing him and joking with him before mass.

Dear Pop Pop, we are still stunned we’ve lost you, but find comfort in our faith that you’ve returned home to the Lord.
Thank you for the example you provided of a marriage of tradition, a marriage of equals. Thank you for your support for our young family, you were my rock when we lost Michael. Thank you for role modeling dedication to hard work and devotion to your faith. Please continue to watch over us all. I’ll forever hold your memory close, with so much love and gratitude.

Dear Beloved Tony,
This is very difficult for me to write since I am still in shock at the news. I have a lifetime of fond memories with you dating back to our childhood. As my little brother, who was almost two years younger to the day, I feel like a part of me has been lost. I thank you for the wonderful memories from our childhood to the frequent visits we had while our children were growing up. I had trust and faith in you so much that you were the Godfather to my firstborn. I wish we could’ve spent more time together. You were such a great brother! I know your journey to Heaven will be smooth and peaceful. While we were brothers for 85 years, you will be missed eternally. May God Bless You and your family. My sincerest condolences to Carol and your family.

Poppy, you were my heart my soul. Thank you for giving 300% to our family at every opportunity. You stepped in when we lost our daddy and helped raised my siblings and I to be the best versions of ourselves. I don’t know how to continue without hearing a “I love you so much I am so proud of you” every time I call but will do everything in my power to make you proud. I know you and Dad are dancing around the streets of heaven together. I love you with my entire heart. Thank you for being you. I’ll drink sodas and eat salamis to your name. Until we meet again xxx

Tony will be so sorely missed. I always looked forward to our conversations at the many family get togethers over the years. Tony was so solid, genuine, real, lively, interesting, and caring for all his family and friends. Tony and Carol were a beautiful, matched set. I always made sure I could bask for a while in their presence. It always felt like coming home. Much love in your loss, Mary Pat Donelan, Laura’s aunt and huge Fornaro fan.

I spent a lot of time at the Fornaro home, many years ago, stopping in to pick up Michael, and Mr and Mrs Fornaro were always very welcoming and happy to talk with me. I remember seeing you at the Madison pool, at St Vincent's, and around town; always with a smile and a wave...and perfect hair. God bless your family, and give them comfort and strength to carry on. I will miss seeing you.

Michael and I will always remember Tony at the Madison Community Pool. Summers without him will never be the same, from sweet treats for us and root beer for our son. Rest in Peace, Tony. May your memory always be for a blessing.

My condolences to the Fornaro family. I had the pleasure of meeting Granpa Fornaro back in the summer of 2018. He was a life of light. Very caring, loving and such a wonderful grandfather to my best friend Mimi Fornaro. May God have him and Michael in his glorious paradise. Please God give the Fornaro family the strength to surpass the loss of Mr. For aro that will be very much missed. God bless.

To my beloved Other Half,
The thought of going on without you
Is something I never envisioned.
Not having you by my side is already unbearable.
But I promise I will pray and think of you every single day.
Someday I will be with you and our Michael again.
Until then,
I love you Babe,
Always and forever.

Jay and I have good memories of Jay's working with Tony at the Madison Post Office and meeting Carol and Tony at the Madison Movie Theater on Tuesdays. I saw Tony often at the Madison YMCA and we would have good conversations about mutual friends from the Post Office days. He was always very good about keeping himself in shape with his exercise routine at the Y and I know he was a faithful parishioner at St. Vincent's RC Church. I enjoyed seeing Tony around Madison and he will be missed.
Our deepest condolences go out to Carol and their sons and grandchildren.

I Loved and admired my Father so much for his love and constant generosity for my entire life. The example he set as a father, husband ,and child of God hopefully will help me and my Mom to join him and Michael in Heaven some day. My promise to help my Mom to him is a vow more important in my life than any other. Love you Dad until we meet again
