Obituary of Brooke L. Plumstead

Brooke Lawrence Plumstead peacefully went home to our Lord surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at only ten years old.

Brooke was born with Canavan disease and demonstrated tremendous strength and bravery during every moment of her journey. She was undeniably sweet, special, innocent, and perfect in every way.

Brooke was born in Morristown on May 12, 2010 to her loving, devoted parents Sean and Liz. She was raised in Mendham and Long Valley with her brothers and sisters. Brooke was a student at the Matheny School of Peapack and loved going to school.

Brooke had a special relationship with her siblings, who she loved with all of her heart. She loved playing with her brothers and sisters, all things Disney, and was a big fan of Frozen. Brooke also loved swimming  and being outside in the sun.

Brooke was loved by so many, and taught so many how to love. We will forever remember her beautiful smile and laugh, and hold the wonderful memories we have of our dear Brookie close to our hearts forever.

Brooke is survived by her mother, Elizabeth “Liz” Siciliano (nee Stryker) and her husband Christopher of Long Valley; her father, Sean Plumstead and his wife, Natalia Rendon of Madison; two brothers, Mason Plumstead & Albert Siciliano; two sisters, Cristiana & Theodora Siciliano; her maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Deborah Stryker; her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lucille Plumstead; her step-grandmother, Linda Siciliano (the late Albert Siciliano); three aunts, Shannon Plumstead, Ashley Speranza and her husband John, and Melissa Martinez and her husband Ricardo, many loving cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation held at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 10:00AM at St. Vincent Martyr Church, Madison. For those that wish, you may attend the funeral service virtually via live-stream by visiting and viewing the service on the main webpage of the church beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will be held privately for the family.

** Visitors to the funeral home and church are required to wear masks and practice proper social distancing. In order to maintain a safe number of people in the funeral home, we kindly and respectfully ask that after paying your respects you give others the same opportunity by making your visit brief.**
