Obituary of Ann Marie Searing

Ann Marie Searing, of Parsippany, died peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. She was 70 years of age.

Ann was born on a summer day in Morristown on August 22, 1949 to the late Arnold and Carmella Searing (nee Picone). She was the apple of her loving parents eyes and they loved Ann deeply.

Ann, who was born with a disability, lived a full and productive life. She was a strong and optimistic woman, who was an inspiration to everyone who had the opportunity to meet her. She was highly functional in many ways.

She was raised in Morristown, and later on in her early years, resided in Morris Plains with her beloved parents for many years. After the death of her parents, Ann relocated to a group home owned and operated by the ARC of Morris County where she was close friends with many residents and staff members.  

Ann was an innocent soul and loved to both read and collect books. She had a beautiful collection of dolls and stuffed animals. Ann was a sentimental person that saved souvenirs and trinkets that reminded her of her travels and events that she attended. She loved music and treasured her vast eight-track collection from the 1970’s.

Ann loved all holidays in general, especially the joy of the Christmas season. She loved decorating for the holidays and had a large ornament collection. Ann also loved her cookies and baked goods.

Ann’s cherished memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.

Anne was predeceased by her loving parents. She is survived by her devoted cousins, Lucille Clemente  and Mary Ann Luciano, both of Madison; several other cousins, dear friends and caregivers at the ARC of Morris County.

Funeral services will be held privately for Ann’s family. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Randolph.
