Obituary of Lucy Lepre
Lucy Lepre (nee Marconi), a longtime Madison resident, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 9, 2020 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 91.
Lucy was born in Newark on January 4, 1929 to the late Sabato and Antoinette Marconi. She was married to her beloved husband Pasquale “Pat” Lepre on October 17, 1959. The couple settled in Madison where they raised their family and have lived since.
Lucy’s family and friends were everything to her. She had a deep faith in God and was a parishioner of St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison for many years. Lucy was very philanthropic and volunteered her time at to organizations that provided assistance to those less fortunate, such as the Morristown Soup Kitchen.
Her family and friends were very dear to her and she loved entertaining.
Lucy’s good-hearted nature and warmth will forever be remembered and she will be deeply missed by all those that loved and knew her.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Marconi. She is survived by her beloved husband, Pasquale “Pat” Lepre of Madison; one daughter, Anne Lepre of Madison, one son, Michael Lepre and his wife, Julie of McLean, VA; one brother, The Most Reverend Dominic A. Marconi of Chatham, one sister-in-law, Carol Marconi, three cherished grandsons, Alex Stetkevych, Matthew Lepre & William Lepre; many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation and funeral services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be held at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Madison Memorial Home.
