Jean was a consummate caregiver; tending to others whenever and wherever the need occurred. She was a true professional in every sense of the word, and there was never any doubt that she had your back, whether fending off the occasional irate parent, or running interference for the grateful staff and principals she protected like a mother hen. I recall a parent demanding to speak to the person in charge, and Jean calmly telling him, "You're looking at her." Her wit was razor sharp and her warm smile and compassionate spirit drew people to her like a magnet. Jean was totally committed to her Family, Faith, and Friends, and I will miss her terribly.
