I will miss our conversations and museum visits, and I will always remember our years together on the board of the Friends of the Paterson Library. Paterson and the Adirondacks benefited from her energy, intelligence, insight, and concern. She was truly one of a kind.
As noted, Joanne was generous in volunteering for the two organization mentioned. She also devoted time to the Eastside Neighborhood Association. Joanne was brilliant. She had a doctorate in chemistry and taught for years at a university in New York. I think it was Long Island University. She was nice and possessed a fine sense of humor. Her heart was as great as her mind.I shall miss her Christmas card.
