Obituary of Dorothy Piccolo

Dorothy H. Piccolo, of Madison, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 99 years old and lived a life rich in love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born and raised in Summit, Dorothy was a graduate of Summit High School. She married her late husband, Frank N. Piccolo, ina union filled with love and partnership that lasted until his passing in 1986. They settled in Madison, where they raised their family.

Dorothy is survived by her two devoted sons, Raymond Piccolo and Frank Piccolo; her grandson, Brian Piccolo; and her great-granddaughter, Madison. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Kevin M. Piccolo, who left us in 2024.

Known for her impeccably kept home and culinary skills, Dorothy poured her heart into caring for her family. She cherished moments spent with her grandchildren and felt immense joy in being a great-grandmother. Her warmth, kindness, and ready smile left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Dorothy's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, whose lives she touched profoundly. May her memory continue to be a blessing, and may she rest in peace.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation for Dorothy on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main Street, Madison. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. during the visitation.

A committal service will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent’s Cemetery in Madison.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
