Obituary of Vincent F. Palma

Vincent F. Palma, of Madison, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on September 13, 1938, in Madison, Vincent was a lifelong resident of the community he proudly called home. He dedicated more than 50 years of his career to the construction industry, working as a Construction Manager for Damon G. Douglas Company in Cranford. A proud union member, Vincent was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to his craft.

Outside of work, Vincent found great joy in spending time with his extended family. He was an avid fan of horse racing and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. Golf was another favorite pastime, and he faithfully played each week for many years. Even after he was no longer able to play, he never missed watching tournaments on television. As the youngest of six siblings, Vincent cherished his family and especially looked forward to his annual two-week visits to California to spend time with his sister.

Vincent was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Francesca Palma; his brothers, Pasquale Palma Jr., Frank Palma, Anthony Palma, and Mike Palma; his sister, Frances Taylor; his niece, Emily Taylor; and his nephew, John J. Taylor.

He is survived by his loving nieces and nephews, treasured extended family, and many dear friends, all of whom will miss his quiet strength, loyal friendship, and warm presence.

Vincent will be remembered for his lifelong dedication to his work, his love of family, his passion for golf and horse racing, and the kindness he extended to everyone fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent which will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at St. Vincent Martyr Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison. For those who wish, you may view the mass by visiting www.svmnj.org.

Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison.
