Dear Bette and Family, I am very sorry for your loss of Jim. I will always remember Jim as a great guy even though we haven’t seen each other in over 60 years. A few years ago we became friends on Facebook. We both lived in Pompton Lakes but went to different High Schools, Jim to PLHS, I to DePaul. We probably met at Hershfield Park, The Cardinal, or Babe Ruth baseball. I think of him as a friendly, easy-going, likeable guy! My sincere condolences, Jay Giles

I have said many times Jim was a great guy. I always enjoyed talking with especially about sports which was an obvious passion of his. Jim fought such an incredible battle for life I'm sure the love and support of his wonderful family was what kept him going. His obituary is a glowing tribute to him. Our loving sympathy is wrapping around your family. Jim always had a special twinkle in his eyes and a sense of humor. He was also extremely proud of his family.
