Obituary of Jeanne V. Lukasavage
Jeanne V. Lukasavage, formerly of Madison, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on October 20, 1939, in Morristown, Jeanne was the third of eight children born to John and Mary Paolella. She was raised in Madison, where she built lifelong connections to her family and community.
Jeanne was a proud graduate of Bayley Ellard High School in Madison. Early in her career, she worked at Automatic Switch in Florham Park. On November 23, 1968, she married the love of her life, Eugene Lukasavage. The couple moved to Randolph before eventually settling in Byram, New Jersey, where they shared many happy years together until Eugene’s passing in May of 1993.
When her son, Patrick was born, Jeanne devoted herself fully to being a homemaker, actively participating in school activities and always placing family at the center of her life. Following her husband’s passing, she returned to the workforce and spent many years as a bank teller at Valley National Bank in Chester.
Jeanne found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing bingo and cards, and sharing meals with family. As one of eight siblings, family gatherings were especially meaningful to her. She cherished visits with her sisters in Arizona and Texas and was a devoted and loving “Nana” to her grandchildren. Jeanne also enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis Presley and Johnny Mathis.
Jeanne is survived by her loving son, Patrick Lukasavage (Jeanne) of Madison; her beloved grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Jack; her brothers, Dominic and John; her sisters, Madeline and Liz; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 24 years, Eugene Lukasavage; her brother, Sal; and her sisters, Lucy and Mary Ann.
Jeanne will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to family, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Martyr Catholic Church, 26 Green Village Road, Madison.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Jeanne’s name to The Valerie Fund, an organization that supported her granddaughter and was near and dear to Jeanne’s heart, 2101 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040.
