We had known Krishnamoorthy uncle for over 30 years, from the few times we had the opportunity to have him visit our house, to the many times we visited Parni and Kumar and seeing Krishnamoorthy uncle, chatting with him and getting his blessings – this was always the highlight of each visit. We learnt a lot more about his remarkable career as a writer and author, and his promotion of Telugu literature.
Today, we heard Parni, Kumar and Athrey speak about Uncle, and the love and affection they had for him was evident not only in their words, but in their actions over the years, and uncle was that inspiring magnet who attracted all of us towards him.
Krishnamoorthy Uncle will be missed - as he joins Parni’s mother in the heavens above, the two of them will continue to be guiding lights not only for the immediate family but for all of us.

Dear Manni, Kumar and Athrey,
I know that these are tough times for you to lose someone so dear to you, but I feel that it is also time to celebrate the story of Mr. Krishnamoorthy Dasu.
While looking for pictures, I was delighted to find a photo of me with his book "Greatest Telugu Stories ever told" because his writing truly symbolised him. What also marked him was his incredible positivity and the child-like laughter and innocence he had! Especially in recent years, I realised that he must be in some pain but it never dimmed his cheer and enthusiasm. He could recall minute details of his visit to our home in Mumbai and also my lone visit to their home in Hyderabad. My mother used to recall fondly her memories of their conversations on Carnatic music and India, while she stayed at New Vernon. I again found this remarkable since both of them had their ailments and different interests but still got along well together!
This memoir would not be complete without a mention of the absolute devotion shown by Manni and Kumar to Dasu mama. They have been model children to someone who thoroughly deserved it. I have also heard much about how much Dasu mama loved Madhura Bharati mami. Maybe it was time for him to join her again! Amma, Chitra, Varun and Krithika join me in our prayers to God to give you all strength to overcome this big loss ! Om Shanti!
