For the years (& beyond) we lived in the building we were lucky to call Rocky & Josephine our friends. She was a firecracker and a tireless worker and support to Rocky. She adored her daughters and was always there for them. She will definitely be missed by countless people who were lucky enough to have her in their lives.

Josephine will be deeply missed by the people who lived in her building in Greenwich Village. I have been her neighbor since 1996. What a light she was .. such a wonderful burst of Sicilian energy. She always put a smile on my face, and inspired me w/ her tireless and independent spirit. it's strange, but I just learned about this today, and i wanted to immediatly send out love to her family. I am so sad that she is gone. one last thing to share about Josephine.. she once lent her voice to one of my songs, 'New York Girls', by Morningwood. it's a song about how all the girls in NYC are from somewhere else. and in the middle of the song there is a section where a bunch of NY girls shout out where they're from. Josephine proudly yelled out that she is 'from Sicily, and I love it!'. i'll never forget her. This is a huge loss for our building and anyone who knew this amazing woman.
