Josephine will be deeply missed by the people who lived in her building in Greenwich Village. I have been her neighbor since 1996. What a light she was .. such a wonderful burst of Sicilian energy. She always put a smile on my face, and inspired me w/ her tireless and independent spirit. it's strange, but I just learned about this today, and i wanted to immediatly send out love to her family. I am so sad that she is gone. one last thing to share about Josephine.. she once lent her voice to one of my songs, 'New York Girls', by Morningwood. it's a song about how all the girls in NYC are from somewhere else. and in the middle of the song there is a section where a bunch of NY girls shout out where they're from. Josephine proudly yelled out that she is 'from Sicily, and I love it!'. i'll never forget her. This is a huge loss for our building and anyone who knew this amazing woman. Peter Y. 6c
